Mr. Joe K. Wilson, age 74 of Sparta, passed away at 10:52 am on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Wilson was born November 23, 1946 to the late Henry Clay and Estelle Jones Wilson in the Old Zion community of White County. In addition to farming, Joe was the General Manager of O'Connor Utilities for 32 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served two tours in Vietnam. He travelled many miles to rodeos and races, and was an avid gun and antique trader. Joe was a man of strong faith in Jesus and a proud member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ.

Brothers: HC Wilson (Twila) of Cookeville; Ronnie Wilson (Connie) of Sparta; Guy Wilson (Brenda) of Sparta

Sisters: Clayta Spicciatti (Chuck) of Sparta; Jane Mitchell (Almont) of Whiteville, TN

Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, January 8, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with full military honors presented by the Veterans' Honor Guard in Pinewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time on Friday at Hunter Funeral Home. Joe Neal will officiate the service.

Scotty Wilson, Steve Wilson, Jason Wilson, Cody Wilson, Justin Wilson and Kaden Hatmaker will serve the family as pallbearers. Ty Wilson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family respectfully asks that all guests visiting Hunter Funeral Home to please wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines.

The register book will be available Thursday from 8am until 4pm in the parlor of Hunter Funeral Home for those friends not comfortable in a crowd
