Mr. Joel B. Oracion, age 69 of Cookeville, formerly of New York, passed away July 8, 2025 at NHC of Sparta.

Joel was born August 7, 1955 in the Philippines to the late Jose V. and Leonida Biglete Oracion. He was a former production manager for Victoria Secrets. He was an artist whether in art or music as he loved to play guitar and the piano. He will be fondly remembered for his cooking and he his artistic touch was on display in his cooking with the beautiful way he would plate the meal and set the table. Joel was an avid fan of the New York Rangers as well as the Yankees and the Knicks. He enjoyed working out, dancing and with his personable spirit, he never met a stranger.

Surviving family members include his siblings Jose Oracion and wife Lori, E. Jean Echavarria and husband Ruben, Grace O. Chan and husband Jerry

Nieces and nephews: Riza Leah Oracion, Ruben James Echavarria, Ryan Anthony Echavarria, Jerry Tyler Chan, Jarred Dillon Chan, Leilani Valledor. Kaitlan Alexis Oracion, Joseph Brandon Oracion, Alexa Dempsey

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, July 12, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Old Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Katie Ory will officiate.

Jose Oracion, Jerry Chan, Ruben James Echavaria, Ryan A. Echavarria, Jerry T. Chan and Jarred D. Chan will serve as pallbearers.
