Mr. John Lanny Nelson, Jr., age 32 of the Cassville Community passed away March 25, 2024.

John was born September 11, 1991 in El Paso, Texas. He was a former factory worker and a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, boating and working on cars. He loved music and was a guitar player. He will always be remembered for being able to light up a room with his jovial spirit and jokes.

Survivors include his son John Lanny "Little John" Nelson, III

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Pentecostals Church of Sparta with burial in Old Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 3-8:00pm at the church. Michael Weedman will officiate.

Aaron Ragan, Jacob Nelson, James Ragan, Austin Ragan, Michael Weedman, Caleb Bryant and John Nelson, III will serve as pallbearers
