Mr. Johnny Richard Judd, age 73 of Sparta, passed away Saturday morning August 5, 2023 in ER of St. Thomas Highlands Hospital.

Johnny was born March 18, 1950 in Doyle, Tennessee to the late Edward Kelly and Lola Belle Broom Judd. He was a life-long heavy equipment operator who enjoyed his job. In fact, he would prefer to always be working. Yet when not on the job site, he could be found watching and reading westerns.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by siblings Frank, Jimmy, Bill Edd, Barbara Judd, Clara Judd, Daisy McDole, Frances Holcomb, Joyce Jones and Lena Mae Humphrey

Survivors include his wife of 35 years Gail Judd

Sons: Robert (Willene) Judd, Michael (Vickie) Judd, Michael (Wendy) Hutchings and Wesley (Erin) Hutchings

Ten Grandchildren

Thirteen Great-grandchildren

Sisters: Sue Jones, Carolyn Smith, Becky Martin, Ruthie (Jerry) Kelsey, Kathy (Mark) Driver

Brother: Rob Judd

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Monday, August 7, 2023 at Ole Bethel Baptist Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Monday at the church. Jeff Randolph will officiate.

Robert Judd, Michael Judd, Michael Hutchings, Wesley Hutchings, Jacob Judd and Wade Judd will serve as pallbearers.
