Mr. Joseph Wallace Cole age 38 of the Short Mountain community of Cannon County, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Joseph was born February 6, 1984 in Fort Worth, Texas. He loved cooking and was a former Waffle House cook. He also loved being outdoors and enjoyed hiking and traveling. One of his favorite destinations was Las Vegas, a place he called home for 8 years. Joseph had technical skills that made him a computer tech wiz.

Joseph is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jean and Buddy Davis; paternal grandparents Charles and Diane Cole; step-mother Kimberly Cole and step-brother Thuan Jones.

He is lovingly survived by his mother Wanda Gunter and husband Dwain

Brother: James Vincent Cole and wife Rebecca

Niece and apple of his eye: Ezri Indigo Cole

Step-sisters: Jequita Gilbert and husband Neal, Amanda Hewitt and husband Jeffrey

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Monday, December 5, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-8:00pm Sunday in the Quarles Room of Hunter Funeral Home. Nathan Hawkins will officiate.

Dave Cole, James Cole, Gaige Holt, Neal Gilbert, Jr., Neal Gilbert and Titus Gilbert will serve as pallbearers
