Mr. Joseph James Presley, age 40 of Sparta, passed away at 3:55 pm Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville.

Joseph was born August 18, 1980 in Sparta. Joseph had a long career as a diesel mechanic and most recently as a sawmill laborer. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Virginia Presley, Paul and Iva Clark; cousin Dewey Presley.

Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his three children, Katlyn Presley of Knoxville, Jordan Presley of Sparta, Annashay Presley of Sparta

Father: Fred Presley and wife Bessie of McMinnville

Mother: Iva Presley of Sparta

Brothers and sisters: Paul Presley of Sparta, Tammie Null of Sparta, Kandas Presley of McMinnville, Josh Presley of Murfreesboro

Nieces: Shyanna Null, Chloe Priest and Makenzie Priest

Nephew: Zayne Steward

Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, July 31, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. David Copeland will officiate.

Katlyn Presley, Jordan Presley, Josh Presley, Zayne Steward, Chris Presley, Junior Presley, Wayne Clark and Scott Null will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hunter Funeral Home, PO BOX 90, Sparta, TN 38583 to assist the Presley family with funeral expenses.
