Ms. Joyce Ann Baker Cruise, age 73 of Sparta, passed away Monday morning, March 28, 2022 at her residence.

Ann was born August 9, 1948 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late William Thomas & Minnie Lorene Gertrude Blaylock Baker. She was a longtime employee of Thomas Industries. She loved being a homemaker and being with family. Her favorite family activity was playing cards, especially rummy. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister Shirley Baker.

Survivors include her daughter Tina (Michael) Austin of Sparta

Son: Chris (Tommy) Macon of Murfreesboro

Grandchildren: Japheth (Ally) Henegar, Bailey (Tori) Henegar, Eli Henegar & Jessica Burton, Gavin Macon and Jack Macon

Great-grandchildren: Nolan & Ollie Henegar

Siblings: Bob (Louise) Baker, Deland (Ann) Baker, Bill (Rita) Baker

Several nieces and nephews also survive

Ann's family has entrusted Hunter Funeral Home with her cremation and a memorial service will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, April 3, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 12:00pm Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home. Roy Whited will officiate.
