Ms. Joyce Marie Green, age 68 of Sparta, passed away at 7:05pm Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Joyce was born February 4, 1955 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Ernest and Beulah Mae Presley Green. She retired with 25 years of service to the White County Middle School Cafeteria. She loved her work and enjoyed spending her free time at home working in her flower garden. She could be found on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings listening to gospel music and the ministry on AM 1050. Joyce adored her nieces and nephews that were like her children.

Survivors include her sisters Nina Young, Sandra Zile and her significant other Timothy Wheeler

Brothers: Roger Green, Tommy Green and Jimmy Green

Special nieces, nephews and caregivers: William Alex (Mary) Zile, Jr., Reed (Amber) Zile, Mirranda Zile and Tony Dimler

A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews and extended family also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Friday, June 2, 2023 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1:00pm Friday at Hunter Funeral Home. Gary Lovett will officiate.

Alex Zile, Reed Zile, Dustin Green, Stevie Seibers and Chris Green will serve as pallbearers.
