Mr. Arnold Lee Young, Jr., affectionately known as JR, age 45 of the Gum Springs Mountain Community, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025.

JR was born November 6, 1979 in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was the owner of Young's Hunting and Fishing Supply as well as being an avid fisherman. He loved fishing and being a father. JR is preceded in death by his father Arnold Lee Young, Sr. and step-father Roy Gaines "Doc" West.

Survivors include his wife Rashelle Young of Sparta

Sons: Zachary Young and Jaden Young both of Sparta

Daughter: Abigail Young of Sparta

Step-son: William Whited of Sparta

Mother: Diana West of Sparta

Sisters: Tonya (Shannon) Carter of Sparta, Becky (David) Redmond of Panama City Beach, Florida, Amanda (Kevin) Stotts of McMinnville

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00pm Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Matt Randolph, Nicholas Ferree, Malaki Ferree, Logan Ferree, Shannon Carter, Chris Randolph and David Redmond will serve as pallbearers.
