Mrs. Juanita Dorris Sherrer, age 81 of Sparta, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 in Rogersville, Alabama.

Mrs. Sherrer was born February 6, 1940 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Onie Plummer & Pearl Lee Cooper Dorris. She was a homemaker but held a variety of jobs most notably as a waitress. She enjoyed being around people and never met a stranger. In her later years, she could be found shopping yard sales and goodwill. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Curtis Eugene Sherrer; brothers, Onie,Jr., John Doulgas "Doug", Thomas Richard and Dave "Son"; sisters Helen Jeanel, Mary "Patsy" Virginia and Nancy Ann

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her children Lynita Sherrer, Melisa Sherrer, Curtis Sherrer and Jillian Sherrer

Grandchildren: Jacqueline Sherrer, Michael Horn, Curtis Michael Sherrer, Brian Murphy, Brandon Penkava, Tyler Wegner, Damon Sherrer, Curtis James "CJ" Sherrer, Britnee Stuby, Dustin Hodge and Nathaniel Hodge

Great-grandchildren: Sidney Dunham, Sebastian Dunham, Kaitlin Penkava, Jacob Penkava, Micah Sherrer, Zoe Bowen and Hunter Johnson

Sister: Hilda Jane

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 3-6:00pm in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. There will be no formal service to follow.
