Mr. Junior Lee Barnes, age 68 of Sparta, passed away at 10:10pm on Wednesday, September 26, 2024 at his residence.

Junior was born October 24, 1955 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Roston Lee and Margie Hodge Barnes. He was a retired supervisor for the White County Highway Department. Junior enjoyed playing cards was a regular at Jose's Market where he always enjoyed a good scratch off ticket. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Thelma Bennett Barnes who died June 2, 2015.

Survivors include his son Adam Barnes and wife Wendy

Grandson: Dylan Barnes

Granddaughters: Anastasia Wagner, Brittany Dodd and Kaylie Anderson

Great-grandchildren: Kayde, Alonnah, Blakely, Payton, James and Madelyn

Sister: Joyce Hogan

Brother: Gene Barnes

In honor of Junior's wishes, Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with his cremation and no services will be planned.
