Mrs. Katie Marie Lance Morgan, age 63 of Sparta, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at her residence.

Katie was born July 18, 1957 in Sparta, Tennessee. She was a dishwasher at several Sparta restaurants. She is preceded in death by her daughter Willie Ann Graham Lance; father Oule Arles Baker.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years Joseph Richard Morgan

Grandchildren: Ashley Yanez, Gary Michael Peters, Nathan Young and Erica Young

Great-grandchildren: Hunter, Tyson and Gracelyn Strickland

Step-grandchildren: Brianna Farmer and Austin Thadwick

Sisters: Zillie O'Connor, Mary Labon and Joann Lance

Brother: Malcolm Lance

The Morgan family has entrusted Hunter Funeral Home with Katie's cremation following their visitation Monday, June 28, 2021 from 1-3:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hunter Funeral Home, PO Box 90, Sparta, TN 38583 to help the family with funeral expenses.
