Mr. Lyman Kenneth Young, better known to family, friends and customers as L.K., age 84 of Sparta, passed away at 6:25pm Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

L.K. was born July 3, 1937 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Lyman Kenneth and Myrtle Kelsey Young. He was owner of L.K. Carburetor's. He was talented in his craft of building and rebuilding carburetors that people from other cities and states would bring their vehicles and race cars for him to work on. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two daughters Candy Maxwell and Tammy Wooten.

Survivors include his wife Sadie Ruth Young

Two sons: Lynn Martin Young and Jason Young

Two daughters: Kristi (Ron) Larque and Connie (Doug) Lewis

Step-sons: Jeffrey, Bruce, Kevin and Curtis Lowery

Step-daughter: Debra Rowlands

Grandchildren: Brandon Young, Dustin Young, Jesse Wooten, Brandi Larque, Ron Larque, Jr., Lynn Martin Young, Jr., Tyler Lowery, Cayden Lowery, Cody Lowery, Colby Lowery, Adalanne Lowery, Hannah Tabor and the grandson he raised Matthew Lowery

Three great-grandchildren: Raeleigh, A.J. and Sean Wooten, Damian Cook

In honor of L.K.'s wishes graveside services will be conducted 2:00pm Friday, March 18, 2022 at Young Cemetery with no visitation prior to the service.
