Larry Keith Howard, age 86 of White County, passed from this life on February 7th, 2026, at Bethesda Nursing Home in Cookeville.

Larry was born November 17, 1939 in White County to the late Clifford Wilson & Dimple Mae Huddleston Howard. He was a proud farmer, carpenter and served in the National Guard. Larry graduated from White County High, where he was given the nickname, Sleepy, which he carried throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife June Ellen Thompson Howard who died January 22, 2007; two sons, Jeffrey Keith Howard and Philip Bryan Howard; infant twin brother, Harry, infant brother Gary and brother Charles Dennis Howard.

Surviving family members include his sister, Glenda Johnson, Cookeville

Niece: Sonia Mayes, Cookeville

Nephews: Trevor Howard, Cookeville and James Johnson, Panama City Beach, Florida

Special Aunt & Cousin: Doreen & Randy Carr of Cookeville.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Howard Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Pastor Maston Jackson will officiate.

Trevor Howard, Ted Howard, Ken Mayes, Tom Roberts, Jerry Roberts, Henry Burgess and Donnie Carr will serve as pallbearers.
