Mrs. Lassie Lee Hunter Locke Norris, age 95 of the Cassville community passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital as a result of complications from Covid-19.

Lassie was born November 14, 1925 in Allons, Tennessee to the late Louis Kelly "L.K." & Sarah Celia Maynord Hunter. She was a lifelong member of New Hope the Baptist Church and retired from Sutton's Shirt Factory. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, and cooking for her large family.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husbands Aubrey Locke and Bill Norris; siblings, Cato Hunter, Finnis Hunter, Anna Beulah "Pete" Holiday, Teola Greenwood, Gladys Thompson, Virgie Hunter, Rancy Hunter, Price Hunter and Dean Griffin.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her son Kenneth Ray "Kenny" Locke and wife Jan of Sparta

Daughter: Jan Locke Kuethe and husband Tom of Tampa, Florida

Step-children: Carolyn Deyell and husband Gary, Gail Norris, Bud Norris and wife Barbara, Ken Norris and wife Lisa

Grandchildren: Julie Locke, Jason Locke and wife Charity, Blair Kuethe

Great-grandchildren: Colton Locke and Caleigh Locke

Several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive

In consideration of the health and safety of family and friends with the Covid-19 Pandemic, a private service was held Sunday, August 29, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Richard Wood officiated.

David Hunter, Terry Coleman, Rick Greenwood, Lee Griffin, Lawrence Griffin and Holden Null served the family as pallbearers.
