Mrs. Laurene McBride Hudson, age 96 of Walling, Tennessee, passed away at 8:50am Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Life Care Center of Sparta.

Laurene was born April 24, 1925 in Moore Cove of White County to the late Collie and Hattie Fisher McBride. She had a work career that spanned from the shirt factories, Thomas Industries, Oster and retired from Wal-Mart. She was a longtime member of Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church. She enjoyed visiting with family, friends and neighbors  and they enjoyed visiting with her because she was such a good cook. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Elbert Lee Hudson, who died September 27, 2006; sisters Eva Roberts, Clara Ruth Roberts, Henrietta Templeton and Peggy Carr; brothers James, Merrell and Dan McBride.

Survivors include her son Charlie Williams

Daughter: Barbara Dunlap and husband George

Grandchildren: Angie Haslam, George William Dunlap, Laura Lee Williams, Julie Adams

Several great-grandchildren

Numerous nieces and nephews also survive

The Family likes to express their appreciation to the Nurses and Staff in the Terrace section of  Life Care Center of Sparta and Avalon Hospice.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, November 27, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Marvin Saylors will officiate.

Len Jamula, Brad Hillis, Joe Roberts, Alan Hudson, Austin Phifer and David McBride will serve the family as pallbearers
