Mrs. Lee Edris Daniels Hunter, age 78 of Sparta, better known as Edris to her family, passed away at 7:42am Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital.

Edris was born June 25, 1946 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Alford B. and Elsie Elizabeth Lowhorn Daniels. She had a career of custodial work and waitressing. Edris was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband James Hunter; brother-in-law Arnold Norris and sister-in-law Denise Daniels.

Survivors include her siblings Faye Norris, Alford Ray & Linda Daniels, George & Rose Daniels, James Daniels, Hugh & Edna Daniels and Ronnie Daniels all of Sparta

Sisters-in-law: Katherine Holman and Karen Shanke

Step-children: Hannah Justice and Rachel Hunter

Special niece: Vickie Brady and husband Gary

A host of more nieces and nephews and their families also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Bro. Ronnie Taylor will officiate the service.

Ronald Daniels, Darrin Norris, Brad Daniels, Stephen Daniels,Tyler Brady and Kyle Brady will serve as pallbearers.
