Mrs. Louise Felton Carter, affectionately known to friends and family as Lucy, age 76 of Walling, passed away at 3:53pm Friday, March 18, 2022 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Lucy was born March 4, 1946 in Spencer, Tennessee. She was retired from Mallory and enjoyed gardening and working with her favorite yellow flowers. She could always be found on her front porch and loved spending time with her family, especially those that called her "Nannie" - her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She wanted to be remembered for the following: "I worried about my family because I loved them all. Please don't be sad I'm gone. "

Lucy is preceded in death by her husband Glen Irvin Carter who died April 9, 2019; father James Wallace Felton; mother Cleatis Baker Felton Hopkins; siblings Carolyn Sherrell, Ruby Seibers and Charles Felton.

Surviving family members include her son Michael Joe Carter of Sparta

Daughter: Tammy Carter Rutherford and Greg Clouse of Walling

Grandchildren: Corgan Lee Carter, Cameron Carter, Caleb Carter and Brandon Williams

Great-grandchildren: Bentley Clouse, Tempy Jordan, Abby Williams, Aiden Williams and Raylee Carter

Sisters: Marie Trusty, Bonnie Fox both of Sparta, Brenda (Dale) Bray of Doyle, Linda (Larry) Farley Sparta, Mary Richardson of Cookeville

Brother: James (Liz) "Jimmy" Felton of Sparta

Sister-in-law: Betty (Jack) Hughes of Franklin, TN

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Monday, March 21, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. Joe Neal will officiate.

Michael Carter, Jerry Sherrell, Cameron Carter, Caleb Carter, Corgan Carter and Rick Dilldine will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Ray Young, Eugene Gentry, Roger Creason, Tim Johnson and Brandon Williams
