Mr. Lyle Manning Taylor, age 60 of the Browntown Community passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Lyle was born January 7, 1966 in Sparta, Tennessee. He was a former over the road truck driver and had covered the entire lower 48 states in his career. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a drag racing enthusiast.

Lyle is preceded in death by his mother Helen June Farley Taylor Dodson and his father David Ronnie Taylor.

Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of nearly 37 years Missie Taylor

Children: Jazmine (Cody) Maynard, Terrie Shea (Dallas) Slatton and Gavin (Laura) Taylor

Grandchildren: Carson, Melea, Kaysen, Brooklyn, Leo and Deacon

Father:  Terry Dodson

Brother: J.T. Dodson

Sister: Julie Wilson

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, May 14, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Nash Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Cody Maynard, Dallas Slatton, Dyson Reece, Zack Wilkey, Lanny Wheeler and Chris Morgan will serve as pallbearers.
