Mrs. Margaret Ann Meadows Phillips, better known as Ann, age 80, a longtime resident of the Hickory Valley Community, passed away at 5:50pm Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

Ann was born August 4, 1941 in Sparta to the late Norman and Alice Strickland Meadows. She was retired from Red Kapp. She was a collector of many things most notably custom jewelry and Coca-Cola collectables. She enjoyed traveling, Gatlinburg was her favorite destination. Ann loved watching westerns, she spent countless hours watching The Rifleman, Little Joe on Bonanza and Gunsmoke. Her passion and greatest joy in life was being "Nanny" to her grandchildren and all who knew her. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Willie Joe Phillips who died February 20, 2008; son Robert "Stick" Phillips; grandson Keyshawn Hicks; siblings Jerry Meadows, Tom Meadows, Evelynn McQuistion and Judy Bumbalough.

Surviving family members include her daughters and their spouses, Joann & Zack Craig, Crystal & Adrian Acosta, Brandy & Timothy Lewis

Grandchildren: Christopher Winnett, Brandon Phillips, Raymond Phillips, Tabatha (Isidro) Ruiz, Adriana Acosta, Matthew Acosta, Attiah Hicks, Jayden Hicks and Alicia Avalos

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, May 7, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. David Wayne Copeland will officiate.

Chris Barotti, Chris Winnett, Adrian Acosta, Timothy Lewis, Isidro Ruiz and Norman Cope will serve the family as pallbearers.
