Margie Louise (Scott) Gore, age 90, passed away Thursday June 1 , 2023 at  her home.
Margie was born June 13, 1932 (on her mother's birthday) in Detroit, MI to the late James T and Lee Ella
Scott. After marrying the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Gore, she became a 60+ year resident of Sparta.
She retired from Mallory/Emerson Industries and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was a member of
Bear Cove Baptist Church for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, her son Gary T. Gore, sister
Frances Anderson, brothers Rev. Lee Scott and Rev. Clifton Scott, and infant great-grandson Elijah Berry.

Survivors include her children Patty Prater (Dennis), Larry Gore (Martha), Betty Ingram (Gary), and Jeff
Gore (Debbie). Grandchildren include, Billy Sexton, Timothy Gore (Ana), Becky Stivers (Heath), Melissa
Fleck (Daniel), Cristy Berry (Guy), Chris Ingram (Laura), Joseph Gore (Jennie), Nicholas Gore, Erin Clem
(Chris), Lauren Davin (Mark), Ryan Gore (Katrina), 19 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-
grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home.  Visitation will be on Sunday June 4, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and Monday June 5, 2023 from
10:00am till Service Time.  Bro. Jerry Pullum will officiate the services with burial in the OakLawn Cemetery.
