Mrs. Marie Kidney Grabowski, age 77 of  Sparta,  a native of Lockport, New York, passed away  at 6:56am on Wednesday January 29, 2025 at Signature Health Care in Algood, Tennessee.

Marie was born August 23, 1947 in Lockport to the late Herbert and Alice Hall Kidney. She worked for 35 years as a paralegal. Marie found joy in the outdoors - whether she was kayaking, roller blading, hiking, or biking. She had a fearless spirit that helped her overcome life's adversities, keeping her focused on always moving ahead. Her fearless spirit was also evident in some of the hiking and biking challenges she pursued. Yoga was an immense part of her life, inspiring her to create her own yoga class in New York and as an active instructor at the Sparta White County YMCA.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years Paul Grabowski of Sparta

Step-daughter: Kristina Grabowski and Susan Morrison of North Carolina

Sister: Pat Rostas of New York

Brothers: Robert (Donna) Kidney and Ray (Fran) Kidney all of New York

Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with Marie's cremation and Memorial Services will be conducted 4:00pm Thursday, February 6, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 3:00pm Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home. Kyle Goff will officiate.
