Obhilla Marie Young Seibers, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025 at the age of 86. She had been a resident of Life Care Center since March 2017 and grew to call it home.

Marie was born, June 06, 1938 in Sparta to the late Foster V. & Thelma England Young.  In addition to her parents, her first born child Donna Carol Seibers died, June 15, 2018. She was also preceded in death by siblings: her twin sister Minnie Lee Kerley, James Ray England, Charles Edward Young, Arlie Young, Glinda Sue Young, Rachel Oliver, Earnestine Cope, Thomas Howard Young, Kenneth Gentry Young and Quentin Taylor Young.

She is lovingly survived by her children:  Gail (Leroy) Guy, Polly (Bill) Burns, Walter (Brenda) Seibers, Keith (Lisa) Seibers and James Seibers of Sparta.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Leroy Guy, Brandi Guy (Justin) Ollis, Michael Martin, Christy Smith, Rachel (Kris) Jenkins, Ryan Seibers, Dustin Seibers, Matthew (Olivia) Burns, Jonathan (Kelley) Burns, and Riley Seibers.

Twelve Great Grandchildren: Mason and Peyton Martin, Noah and Devin Smith, Aleeah Seibers, Amethyst, Nekoda & Kyri Jenkins, Charlie, Colson, Fallyn and Hudson Burns.

She is also survived by one brother: Doug (Marie) Young and a host of nieces and nephews.

Marie lived a simple live and raised her 6 children by herself after her divorce. Her greatest accomplishment in life was the joy of being a mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother.  She provided her children with lots of love and security.  She was a good cook and her family always looked forward to the great meals at holidays with her. She was well known for her Apricot Nectar Cake by her Mallory friends to which she retired in 1996.  She loved to work on puzzles and if you visit Life Care Center you will see her framed, signed puzzles hanging in the halls. She was a member of the West Sparta church of Christ.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, February 6, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home. Jonathan Burns will officiate.

Matthew Burns, Ryan Seibers, Wally Seibers, Riley Seibers, David Young and Foster Young will serve as pallbearers.
