Mr. Mark Anthony Stamps, age 65 of Sparta, passed away at 1:55am on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mark was born June 10, 1959 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Dewey and Earlene Bumbalough Stamps. He was a 40 year employee of Aqua Pools. Mark was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and swim. Many of his Friday and Saturday nights were devoted to his race car at area dirt track races. However, his greatest joy was his devotion to his family and especially the ones that knew him as Pa.

Mark is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ruth Stamps

Son: Brandon Stamps,

Daughter: Leslie Sanders and husband Justin,

Daughter: Kandace Stamps and Cameron Marshall

Son: Logan Stamps

Grandchildren: Kaden Sanders, Kaylee Sanders, Kolton Sanders, Carson Marshall and Caroline Marshall

Two sisters: Patricia Nance, Paula Graham and husband Larry

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, December 12, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Bohannon Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home.

James Margeson, Justin Sanders, Jared Kirby, Cameron Marshall and Vernon Randolph will serve the family as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hunter Funeral Home, PO Box 90, Sparta, TN 38583 to help the Stamps family with funeral expenses.
