Mr. Marshall Earl Emerton, age 79 of Quebeck, passed away at 12:39pm, Sunday April 11, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Earl was born June 6, 1941 at home in Sparta, Tennessee. Earl was a longtime employee of Sparta Spoke Factory and was an avid fisherman. He also loved to sing and perform karaoke. Whether it was his front porch or the Eagles' Club or anywhere that had a microphone, Earl could always be found singing his favorite song - Purple Rain.

Earl is preceded in death by his father William Franklin Emerton, Sr.; mother Bessie Emerton Parks; first wife Joene Hale Emerton; sisters Betty Crain, Pauline Dodson, Dora Parks, Easter Parks, Tina Spivey, Rose Spivey, Dorothy Perry; brothers Jimmy Emerton, Bob Emerton, George Emerton and John Parks.

Survivors include his daughter Earlene (Brad) Dolinich

Son: Earl (Kayla) Emerton, Jr.

Step-son: Pete (Darlene Hale)

Grandchildren: Stephen Masters, Lexie Barlow, Halle Emerton, Pierson Emerton

Four step-grandchildren

Two sisters: Reedie (Ronnie) Brock, Helen Knowles

Six brothers: Carl Emerton, William (Sue Ann) Emerton, Randall Parks, Mike (Michelle) Parks, Marcus (Beverly) Parks, Paul Parks

Mother of children: Pansy Emerton Bowles

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Rose Chapel. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. Nick Holman will officiate.

Randy Knowles, James Stewart, Stephen Masters, Pierson Emerton, J.T. Knowles and Dwayne Luna will serve the family as pallbearers.
