Ms. Martha Rosita Parrish Yaw, age 77 of Sparta, passed away at 8:35am Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at NHC of Sparta.

Martha was born October 17, 1947 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Zollie Mark and Lettie Mae Mabe Parrish. She was a former oil refinery secretary in Texas. She enjoyed listening to music and writing poetry. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Parrish and Charles Parrish; infant half-brother James Ernest Young.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, November 15, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Friday at Hunter Funeral Home.
