Martha Ann Simmons Sullivan, age 70 of Sparta passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  She was born February 7, 1950 in Sparta  to the late Herbert Eston, Sr. and Virgie Simmons.  She was also preceded in death by her son:  Michael Anthony Phillips, and siblings:  Hershell Simmons, Jesse Simmons, Virgil Simmons, Herbert Eston Simmons, II, and Betty Stittums.

Martha was very fond of her dogs, along with chocolate and tending to her array of plants & gardening, but she cherished her family which includes: her 3 daughters:  Jeannette Champion,  Jennifer Lack,  and Jenny Mae (Danny) Bentley, Grandkids:  Mark (Krissta) Phillips, Tina Ware, Marissa Hill, Dylan Moore and Tyler (Krista) Champion, Crystal Wilson, Jason Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Austin (Tessa) Howard, Cassie Randolph, and Conner Bentley, along with 9 Great-Grandchildren.

Brothers & Sisters:  Vernell Nash, Norma Kay Highsmith, Shirley Zile, Rhonda (James) Barnes, and Malcolm Simmons

Grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, February 7, 2021 on Martha's 71st birthday in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8pm on Saturday evening.  Bro. Tracy Curtis will officiate the service.
