Mr. Martin Eans McDonald, age 40 of Doyle, passed away at 2:15am Saturday, August 27, 2022 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.

Martin was born October 13, 1981 in Sparta, Tennessee. Martin was, first and foremost, a family man. He took the initiative to transform his life in a positive way to better himself and to be a strong role model for his family. Diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, he spent a decade handling his battle with dignity and grace. He was a talented artist, a devoted husband, a loving father, an amazing son and brother, a loyal friend and a good man with a golden heart. His legacy will be defined by his perseverance, the fighting spirit that allowed him to handle life's struggles and the love he felt and demonstrated to others. He is preceded in death by his mother Frankie Yvonne Sparkman and his grandmother that was instrumental in raising him, Dorothy Ruth McDonald.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Steve Qualls will officiate.
