Mrs. Mary Clata Clark Parrish, age 84 of Walling, passed away from this life here on Earth December 2, 2022 at Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mary was born May 9, 1938 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Herman and Eliza Bitha Winnett Clark. She worked and devoted many years to Pacesetters before she retired. She was loved by all who knew her. She loved her family that knew her as Granny more than her own life and she reminded them often. Granny Mary believed strongly in the Lord Jesus Christ and her family takes comfort knowing she is rejoicing in Heaven.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband James Elbert Parrish, Jr.; daughter Elizabeth Barnes; grandson Dustin Paul and nine siblings.

Surviving family members include her daughter Jamemona Carver

Grandchildren: James Ramsey and wife Heather, Dakota Barnes, Lindsey Watts and Ashley Leser

Great-grandchildren: Kiah Kirby, Ryan Watts, Rylee Watts, Katelynn Sullivan, Courtney Sullivan and Allie Barnes

A host of nieces, nephews and many who loved her dearly

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Pentacostals of Sparta Church with burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Wednesday at the church. Michael Weedman will officiate.

James Ramsey, Heather Ramsey, Jason Kirby, Frank Krueger, Lindsey Watts and Dakota Barnes will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Kiah Kirby, Ryan Watts, Rylee Watts, Katelynn Sullivan, Courtney Sullivan and Allie Barnes.

The Parrish family would like to thank everyone for all of the prayers during this difficult time.
