Ms. Mattie Pearl Clark Polston, affectionately known as "MeMaw" to her family, age 94 of Cookeville, passed away Friday morning, November 17, 2023 at NHC Cookeville surrounded by her family.

Mattie Pearl was born January 14, 1929 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Acie Crowder and Dora Mae Bumbalough Clark. She was a devoted member of O'Connor Church of Christ. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. In her later years, she loved to crochet and play Bingo.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Cecil Polston; son and daughter-in-law Bryce and Betty Polston; son-in-law Kenneth Hall; sisters Ruby Denton, Katie Polston, Jean Green, Joyce Clark; brothers Jay Clark, Clayton Clark, Billy Clark and Bobby Clark.

Survivors include her daughter Brenda Hall Ransom and husband Ron

Granddaughter: Kelly Hall

Great-granddaughters: Kendelyn Chllton, Kelsey Secord and Kennedy Selby

Great-great-grandsons: Ryker and Stetson

Several very special nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Monday, November 20, 2023 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Kinnaird Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-7:00pm and after 11:00am Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Doyle Crawford and Danny Hall will officiate.
