Mrs. Mattie Faye Goff Sapp, age 91 of the Bon Air Community, passed away on her 91st birthday at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.

Mrs. Sapp was born June 8, 1931 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Ernest Edgar & Mattie Mae Baker Goff. She had a work career that spanned from shirt factory worker to Mallory, then Wagner, and finally her most rewarding job with the Foster Grandparents Program that she participated in for more than 15 years. She was a longtime member of Bon Air Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Homer Casto "H.C." Sapp who died August 15, 1971; siblings Tudy Lockwood, Bud Goff, Ernestine Bennett, Paul Goff, Bobby Goff and Jennie Short; son-in-law Carl Davis.

Daughters: Kathy Sapp Davis, Sharon Sapp White (Joe), Marsha Sapp Chambers (Mark)

Grandchildren: Stephen Sapp, Timothy Sapp, Clarissa Kirby (Johnny), Lanny Davis (Levona), Brian Tolbert (Melissa), Ally Chambers

Great-Grandchildren: Collin Sapp, Faith Sapp, Miranda Randolph (Tristin), Madison Story, Kaisleigh Tolbert

Great-Great-Grandchildren: Kolten, Axel and John Randolph

A host of nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held 3pm Saturday, June 11, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hunter Funeral Home from noon until service time on Saturday. Miranda Randolph will officiate the service.

Steve Sapp, Lanny Davis, Brian Tolbert, Collin Sapp, Richard Goff and Jeff Goff will serve the family as pallbearers.
