Mrs. Mildred Maxine Griffin Banker, age 90 of Quebeck, better known as Maxine, passed away at 9:05pm Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Maxine was born September 9, 1934 in the Peeled Chestnut community of White County, the last of eight children born to the late James and Bessie Jones Griffin. She was a retired shirt factory worker and an avid gardener - often canning enough tomatoes for all of her friends and neighbors.In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Gerald Grissom Banker who died May 19, 2015 and her seven siblings.

Survivors include her son Kevin Banker and wife Patti of Knoxville, TN

Daughter: Kim Banker Moore of Quebeck, TN

Grandchildren: John William Moore and wife Hayla, Megan Banker Snyder and husband Tony, Matthew Banker and wife Samantha

Great-grandchildren: Sophie Snyder, Teddy Banker and Cy Moore

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, February 8, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Jericho Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Bro. Robert Burton will officiate.
