Mike Johnson, 76, of Sparta passed away, Friday, July 15, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical
Center. Mike was born in Sparta to the late Charles Brock Johnson Sr. and Minnie Mae
Whitaker Johnson.

His life-long career choice was that of an educator and administrator. He loved traveling the
BBQ circuit and Tennessee football.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Ellon Davis, Myrtie Lillian Harbin,
Charlie Mae Pepples, and Jean Ince, brothers, Samuel Houston Johnson, Charles Brock
Johnson Jr. and niece, Nancy Biles.

Survivors include his loving wife, Ella Ree Crooks Johnson

son, Barry (Francene) Johnson, and
granddaughter Brooke Johnson of Gladeville, TN.

Nieces, Linda Woodis, Sherry Smith, Ann
Wright, and Christy Ridings.

Nephews, Bill Pepples, Richard Pepples, Chuck Harbin, Sam
Crooks, Danny Crooks, and David Ridings.

Great nieces and nephews also survive.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Oaklawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11 am until Service time on Monday.
