Mrs. Mildred Ruth Cash Jenkins, age 89 of Sparta, passed away at 4:25pm on Friday, December 9, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family.

Mildred was born November 12, 1933 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Hershel and Vella Mae Sliger Cash. She was a former shirt factory worker and White County High School Cafeteria worker. She enjoyed gardening with her flowers and reading. She was proud to have traveled to Bar Harbor, Maine on a family trip and was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of going to Maine. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Arthur Lee Jenkins who died on September 25, 2015 and her sister Roberta Cash.

She is survived by her son Ricky Jenkins

Daughter: Kathy Lewis

Seven grandchildren: Jenny Rigsby, Danielle Jones, Stephanie Lewis, Stephen Lewis, Hershel Jenkins, Katie Lawson and Jacob Jenkins

Fourteen great-grandchildren: Madison Leach, Brayden Leach, Wesley Jones, Raegan Leach, Declan Leach, Cooper Dobson, Adelyn Jones, Jensen Lewis, McKenzie Lewis, Attikus Lawson, Blakely Lawson, Jeremiah Lawson, Elijah Rigsby and Lacey Jenkins

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Robinson's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Larry Wilmoth will officiate.

Stephen Lewis, Hershel Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins, Kendal Dobson, Tyler Jones and Allen Rigsby will serve the as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Brayden Leach and Wesley Jones
