Mildred (Millie) Couch, age 88, beloved mother, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Born on April 14, 1936 in Brownsfork, Kentucky to the late Mary and Nicholas Couch, one of their nine children. Millie's greatest joy and achievement was the love of her family and pets.

A mother of five, grandmother of 13, and great-grandmother of 11, Millie was the heart of the family. She loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers after retiring from owning her own shop and working as a hairdresser for many years. She enjoyed going to the beach with her beloved family, as well as playing cards and bingo. An avid animal lover, Millie loved her fur babies.

In addition to her parents, Millie is preceded in death by several siblings and her sons David and Eddie Gilley.

Millie is lovingly survived by her children Diana (& Robert) Verble, Steven Gilley, Gary (& Bonnie) Gilley, and their growing families who will never forget the love she brought to their lives, in addition to many friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

The family has entrusted Hunter Funeral Home with her cremation and a private family service will be held in Brownsfork, KY at a later date.
