103 year old, Mrs. Ocia Belle Ford Jones, passed away at 11:36am Thursday, August 25, 2022 at NHC of Sparta.

Mrs. Jones was born February 5, 1919 in Silver Point, Tennessee. She had a work career that spanned from garment factory worker to nursing assistant at Cedar Grove Nursing Home among other places. She was a spirited and independent lady that lived by herself until health problems arose in the last few weeks. Mrs. Ocia loved gardening and was a member of Ole Country Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Bailey Lee Jones who died on April 12, 1990; father Charlie Jones; children Joyce, Reba, Doris, Horace, Wayne and Lora Mae.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Monday, August 29, 2022 at the Ole Country Church with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will recieve friends after 2:00pm Sunday at the church. Nathan Hawkins, Gene Williams and Henry Roark will officiate.

Dewayne Williams, T.J. Lewis, James Green, Calvin Jones, James Davis and Jonathan Davis will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Private 1st Class Jonathan Ford
