Lifelong resident of Sparkmantown Community, Paul Havern Sparkman, age 82, passed away on January 9, 2026. Paul was born October 1, 1943, to the late Edd and Mary Estell Spakes Sparkman.

Paul retired from ABF Freight after trucking for numerous years.

Known affectionately as "Pa" to his grandchildren, his family was his greatest pride and joy. You could find him in the garden or on the road. He was always up for a good conversation and a home cooked meal. He was a very special man with a sense of humor, a quick wit, and brought smiles to many faces.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his infant son Paul Brian Sparkman and nephew Mike Moore.

Daughter and Son-in-law: Paula and Dustin Bouldin

Sister: Virginia Moore

Brother/Best Friend and Sister-in-law: Edward and Dean Sparkman

Grandsons: Tyler (Caitlyn) Dodson, Collin Dodson, Jake Bouldin, Jaxon Bouldin

Grandaughter: Mallie (Logan) Brown

Great-Grandchildren: Henry, Averi, Maelynn

Special daughters: Misty Knowles, Krishna Williams

One niece and two nephews.

Paul will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of being outside, and his devotion to the ones he loved the most. His memory and wisdom will live on through those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Monday, January 12, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Sparkman Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Michael Neal will officiate.

Dustin Bouldin, Don Moore, Tyler Dodson, Logan Brown, Jake Bouldin, and Jaxon Bouldin will serve as pallbearers.
