Mr. Fred Albert Dodson, better known as Peter, age 85 of Quebeck, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Peter was born December 3, 1940 in Quebeck, Tennessee to the late Lester and Anna Emerton Dodson. He retired from Duromatic in Campaign with more than 40 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and hunt ginseng.

Peter is preceded in death by his wife Mearline Hibdon Dodson who died September 7, 2015; mother and step father Anna and John Goines; father Lester Dodson; grandsons Ken Hutson, Cory Whitman and Brian Conley; brothers Henry, William and Joe Thomas Dodson and sister Loucille Bowman.

Surviving family members include his four daughters, Lisa (Alan) Lytle, Janie (Tony) Whitman, Kimberly Parks and Mary Davis

Grandchildren: Albert (Brittany) Hutson, Adam (Jessica) Whitman, Glen Allan, Joshua Allan and Brandy Allen

Several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, June 26, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Jericho Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home. R.C. Christian will officiate.

Alan Lytle, Tony Whitman, Albert Hutson, Braxton Hutson and Adam Whitman will serve as pallbearers.
