Mrs. Phyllis Patricia Kilgore Smith, age 86 of Sparta, passed away at 7:11pm Friday, February 5, 2021 at Chattanooga Hospice Care.

Mrs. Smith was born December 22, 1934 in the Eastland Community of White County to the late Clarence and Nancy Jaco Kilgore. She was a homemaker and caregiver to her family - always ready to babysit or do whatever had to be done to help. Sundays were reserved for dinner at Nana's. She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years William Eugene "Bill" Smith who died September 17, 2012; son Randall Eugene Smith; two brothers Gene Kilgore, Bob Kilgore, a sister Louise Killom.
