Mrs. Rachel Holman Mabe, age 83 of Cookeville, formerly of Sparta, passed away Sunday , August 24, 2025 at her residence.

Rachel was born May 6, 1942 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Jimmy and Monerva Jane Bryant Holman. She retired from Mallory with more than 30 years of service. She enjoyed her retirement years being Granny to her family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Hollis Wilford Mabe who died June 2, 1997; sister Mattie Nation and brothers RT, James, Ray and Charles Holman.

Survivors include her son Hollis Floyd Mabe and fiance' Amy Vinson of Sparta

Daughter: Rachel Loretta Terry of Cookeville

Grandchildren: Kristy Lochead, Tyler Mabe, Gavin Terry and Devin Terry

One great-grandchild: Keegan Lochead

Sister: Wilma Bennett

Brother: Clay Holman

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Taylors Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Philip Luna will officiate.
