Mrs. Rafaela Herrera Correa, age 85 of Sparta, formerly of Miami, Florida, passed away at 8:50pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at NHC of Sparta, only five weeks after the death of her husband of 65 years Luis Roberto Correa.

Mrs. Correa was born October 24, 1936 in Las Villas, Cuba to the late Serafin & Gladys Silverio Herrera. She worked in the family restaurant assisting her husband as a prep cook. She was the true meaning of a family matriarch, taking great pride in caring for her family and her home. She enjoyed dancing and loved to go shopping. Her greatest joy in life was being "Ma" to her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by siblings Manolo, Lutgarda and Serafin Herrera.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include  her five children and their spouses: Nellie & Angel Tamayo, Luis & Lizzette Correa, Zaida & Richard Morrison, Irma & Fred Folson, Billy & Laura Correa
