Ms. Reba Joyce Bumbalough Woodard, age 65 of Cookeville, went to be with the Lord at 3:25pm on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Reba was born February 20, 1961 in McMinnville, Tennessee. She was a longtime employee of Wagner and later Brasel's Fruit Market in Sparta. Reba was an active member of Where God Leads Church. She loved church and her church family. To know Reba is to know how to love like Jesus. Her journey on earth is now done. She is now healed and walking the streets of gold with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! By her request, she wants us all to follow Him so she can see us all again in Heaven, Amen. In addition to her love for the Lord, she will be fondly remembered for the love she had for her family who knew her best as Nana.

Reba is preceded in death her father Otis Bumbalough and longtime friend Rex Pryor

Surviving family members include her daughter Christie Gardner Buford

Son: Terry Gardner and wife Terra

Mother: Elizabeth Lamson

Grandchildren: Cayden Lowery and wife Jenna, Abigail Carter, Emma Buford, Hallie Buford, Paisley Buford, Colen Brock, Peyton Harrison and Noah Gardner

Brother: Charlie Richardson and wife Tracey

Sisters: Lisa England and husband Richard, Darlene Selby and husband Richard, Debbie Dover and husband Rickey

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Monday, July 6, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Buck will officiate.

David Buford, Cayden Lowery, Allen Brown, Richard Bumbalough, Nick Morgan, Joel Brown and David Lamson will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Steven Lamson, Nathan Nash and Preston Lamson.
