Mrs. Retha Darnell Brown Qualls, age 70 of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the home of her son.

Retha was born August 10, 1952 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Willie Henry and Leoma Donelson Brown. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed visiting with family and going to yard sales. Retha loved to go dancing, if there were a dance every night of the week, she would be there everynight. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Earl Qualls; daughter Kristy Qualls; two sons Jeffery Earl Qualls and Steven Odell Qualls; sisters Elizabeth Brown, Margaret Fillers, Ruby Phann; brothers Bobby Brown, Clay Brown, Ray Brown and Keith Brown.

Survivors include her son Jason Qualls and wife Stormy

Two granddaughters: Liz Dalton and husband Fletcher, Kyra Mifflin

Two grandsons: Ronnie Mifflin and wife Kassidy, Devin Moore

Three great-granddaughters: Aspen Dalton, Hadlee Moore and Tinslee Moore

Three great-grandsons: Noah Mifflin, Harrison Mifflin and Caleb Moore

Sister: June Mitchell

Brother: Joe Brown and wife Carolyn

Eight nieces and six nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, August 27, 2022 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Blankenship Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home. Bro. Rudy Oakes will officiate.

Jody Presley, Jimmy Presley, Terry Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, Ricky Green and Earl Emerton will serve the family as pallbearers.
