Ms. Rita Kay Morris, age 55 of Sparta, a native of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at 2:05pm Saturday, October 14, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Rita was born August 11, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert Lee & Linda Sue Williams Morris, Jr. She loved spending time with her family whether it was watching movies with her children as they were growing up to now watching TikTok videos with her granddaughter. She enjoyed traveling to Ohio and Florida and always had her phone in her hand taking pictures of every moment. Family was so important to her that she was known to do mechanic work alongside her brother. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her grandmothers that were so dear to her, Carrie Morris and Gladys Williams and a beloved aunt Bessie Adams.

Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include her daughter Kaylin Morris

Two sons: Joshua Morris and Dylan Morris

Granddaughter: Caroline Morris

Two sisters: Tanya  Morris and Tina Six-Morris

Brother: Robert Morris, Jr.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00pm Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 2:00pm Wednesday at the church. Noah Armstrong will officiate.
