Robert Lee Guy, better known as R.L., passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the age of 75.

R.L. was born on January 27, 1949 in Van Buren County to the late James Robert and Mary Jane Mooneyham Guy. He was a longtime business owner and an avid fisherman and guide. Besides his love of fishing, nothing could compare to R.L.'s love of his animals - Lucky the cat and Little Bit the dog. Those who knew and loved R.L. will miss him, but those two will miss him the most.

In addition to his parents, R.L. is preceded in death by grandparents Beecher and Carrie Guy, Herb and Minnie Susan Dodson Mooneyham; Grandmother Eugenia Boyd Guy; Nephews Stacy Bohannon, James (& wife Phillis) Bennett, Derek Bennett; Sister & brother-in-law Reba & Donnie Bennett; several aunts & uncles.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, November 10, 2024 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12:00pm Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Lynn Blanton, Brandon Taylor, R.E.England, Chris Wilson and Billy Patrick will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Forrest Good
