Mr. Robert Lee Bennett, age 82 of Doyle, Tennessee, passed away at 1:20am Saturday morning, September 18, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Bennett was born October 4, 1938 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Garnie Paul & Alice Irene Tolbert Bennett. He retired from Thomas Industries and served his country in the United States Army. He was a longtime member of Ole Bethel Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Nina Mae Cannon Bennett who died on January 8, 2010; brothers James Floyd Bennett, Eddie Bennett and Harold Bennett.

Survivors include his son Robert Dale Bennett and wife Pam

Grandchildren: Nicole Fignar and Jaclyn Fignar

Great-grandson: Kason Price

Sister: Betty Bennett

Brother: Carl Bennett and wife Missy

A host of nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors by the Veterans' Honor Guard will follow in Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. Jeff Randolph will officiate.

Jack Feingold, David Welch, Tee Crim, Zack Bennett, Jerry Broyles and Jayson McDonald will serve the family as pallbearers.
