Mr. Robert Leroy Hatcher, better known as Leroy age 80 of the Big Springs Community of White County passed away Friday, October 9, 2026 at his residence.
Leroy was born April 22, 1946 in Walland, Tennessee to the late Robert William and Junette Whisman Hatcher. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for 30 years. His retirement years included a lot of time fishing and being on the lake. He loved to cook - especially beans and cornbread along with the catfish he caught. He will be fondly remembered as a big teddy bear that could get along with anyone. He relished his close friends and the time spent together in his man-cave at his home, enjoying classic country music and some of the finer things in life. Leroy was a longtime Harley Davidson enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers Eddie Hatcher, William “Bill” Hatcher and Ray Whisman.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years Lori Hatcher

Step daughters: Jeanette Zimmerman and Misty Bach
Granddaughter: Krystal Anderson and husband Garrett
Great grandchildren: Rainelle Stout and Cali Anderson

Brother: Jerry Hatcher
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Tuesday, October 13, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Big Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12:00pm Tuesday at Hunter Funeral Home.
