Robert Earl Sims, Jr age 68 of Sparta passed away at his residence Monday, May 19, 2025.  He was born May 3, 1957 in Sparta to the late Robert Earl Sims, Sr and Ruby Elega Stamps Sims.

Robert was a banker and a teacher

He was an avid Tennessee Vols Football Fan.

He is survived by his wife:  Tammy Lassiter Sims

Daughter:  Jessica Lynn Wheeler

Son:  Robert Payton Sims & wife Brandi

5 Grandchildren: Arie Ross Wheeler, Hadley Renee Sims, Keegan Holt Sims, Aiden Lynn Wheeler, & Lilian Grace Wheeler

Sisters:  Darnell (Gary) Day,  Earlayne (Jim) Cantrell, Leanne (Greg) Frasier

Special Sister: Karen Lafever

Along with several Nieces and Nephews and other family members

Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday Evening from 4 pm until 8 pm in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home
