Mr. Robert Louis Wiest, better known as Bob, age 68 of Sparta, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 4, 2025 at his residence.

Bob was born November 27, 1956 in California to the late William Fillmore and Mamie Onetia Bingaman Wiest, Jr. Bob was an appliance repairman. His younger years were devoted to his love of baseball and he had a career that lasted up to AA ball. After his playing career, he enjoyed umpiring and watching sporting events on television. His loving and providing heart will forever be missed by his family.

Survivors include his son Spencer Wiest and wife Brittany

Three grandchildren: Lunna Wiest, Aurora Wiest and Ada Masters

Four legged companion Napoleon

Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with Bob's cremation and memorial services will be conducted 5:00pm Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Christpoint Church on Liberty Square in Sparta. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
