Mr. Allan Rod Henry, better known as Rod, age 65 of Sparta, passed away at 12:57am on Sunday, October 26, 2025 after a brief battle with cancer at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Rod was born September 30, 1960 in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was a construction worker. Rod was an avid fisherman but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Rod is preceded in death by his parents, A.P. and Lucille Brown Henry; son Rodney Alan Henry; brothers Bob Brown, Royce Henry and Harold Henry; aunt Ruby Brown.

Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his two sons Kyle Henry and Nicholas Henry of Morrison, TN

Sister: Tammy (David) Perry of McMinnville, Jeannie (Dewayne) Williams and Donna Marsh all of Sparta

Sister in law: Olga Brown of Michigan

Several nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday, October 30, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Corinth Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home. Nathan Hawkins will officiate.
